For decades Central Florida has been an international destination. Theme parks, attractions, retail, resorts, and conventions bring people from every continent together. That's what happened to Gowide Trading Group Founder and CEO Michael Davies. Davies came to Orlando from the United Kingdom for business nine years ago and met his future wife inside Orlando's Mall at Millenia.
These days Davies and his wife have two children, a girl, and a boy (whose middle name is Orlando). They also operate a business together. Gowide TG is an international B2B technology company. Gowide manufactures branded phone accessories like earbuds, charging cables and power banks. The company has unique patented products and works with corporate clients to create customizable permanent brand advertisement. The company was "born from the need to supply well designed high quality products" and offer "a stylish innovative alternative for the modern individual" by "combining the finest materials and functional design" (learn more about the company on the Gowide website).
Davies and his wife make a great pair. After a twenty-year career as an independent financial adviser, Davies ventured into real estate in 2004, before he turned his attention to technology. Four years ago Davies took a trip to China and Hong Kong and got the ball rolling on Gowide. Mrs. Davies is a professional interior designer but has a wide range of skills and talents. She designs the website, takes care of direct sales inquiries, and creates flipbooks for Gowide's potential clients. The pair also has a business partner from the UK that currently lives in Thailand.
The team behind Gowide has made it their mission to globalize. The company has established clientele in Europe, Asia, and South America. Last April the business expanded to the United States and has recently expanded again, this time into the African continent and the Middle East. The product line is also expanding - they're currently working to create branded Bluetooth earbuds.
