This summer, the 2017 Downtown Concert Series is going to be bad to the bone kicking off with George Thorogood and the Destroyers on May 20th! Presented by Cox Media Group and Bud Light, if you love rock 'n ' roll, outdoor concerts, and FREE general admission, then you need to be in Downtown Orlando this Saturday afternoon for the first 98.9 WMMO free concert of the summer.
Cox Media Free Summer Concert Series In Orlando Kicks Off This Month With George Thorogood & The Destroyers
The free concert is located on Orange Ave. in front of City Hall, with gates opening at 4 pm, and George due to hit the stage between 8 and 8:30. Make your way downtown early to find parking. You may not be able to buy one bourbon or one scotch during the free concert in Orlando (though there are plenty of bars in Downtown Orlando to visit before or after the show), you can enjoy one beer (or two or three) at the show. You'll want to at least have one because if you don't start drinkin' George is gonna leave.
If you want some VIP treatment, there are tickets available to the first 98.9 WMMO Downtown Concert Series |George Thorogood & The Destroyers for $49 at various Pep Boys locations around town or you can purchase them online. With the upgrade, you get a guaranteed seat right up front, access to private cash bars, and VIP only portalets.
There is no outside food or drink allowed, but food will be available for purchase at the event. Bring your own chairs, but leave the pets at home for this one.
