The initial free fall experience was exhilarating, calming, exciting, and momentous. I’d never skydived before, but I didn’t have to do it alone. It was also indoors, with the safety of control. It is a true flying adventure. No one who experiences the iFly is alone in this journey. Someone is always there to catch you before you fall.
When you arrive, you go through flight training. You learn hand signals. How to move your body against the wind, and get to know your flight partner. If you’re a seasoned athlete, and believe you can go in there and know how to maneuver yourself… You’re very wrong. You have to fight your initial instincts as everything is opposite motion. It’s the kind of experience you learn to give faith in another to guide you in a process of sheer exhilaration. All of the flight instructors have such patience and knowledge to create an unreal experience that you will never forget. That fall. The wind. The suit.
