The Old Town BBQ Throwdown has professional teams flocking from all over the country to be critiqued by 100% certified judges. The event has been sanctioned by the Florida BBQ Association and the Kansas City Barbecue Society.
Those who come out will get to sample from some world champion barbecue vendors, listen to live music in Kissimmee and take in grilling demonstrations. The family-friendly event in Kissimmee will also have a kids play area and various street performers on-site.
On the line for the pro and amateur pitmasters is $10,000 in guaranteed prize money. There will be five overall money winners and also the top-five place finishers in four different categories, chicken, ribs, brisket and pork butt, will win a payout.
