The wait is over. For one night only, Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band perform as a part of the I Don’t Know Tour 2017 at Orlando’s Amway Center on Saturday, May 13. Parrotheads won't want to miss their chance to soak in the full Margaritaville experience.
This year's tour celebrates Buffett’s 42nd touring season. The popularity of his trademark Key West and laid back atmosphere at his live shows gained a devoted following of fans, called Parrotheads. He consistently earns a spot on Billboard's Worldwide Ticket Sales Top 100 Tours.
After decades of concert touring, Buffett is now setting sail for Broadway. Turning “Margaritaville,” into a musical has been an idea for quite a while but now it's gearing up to make its debut. "Escape to Margaritaville" will have its world premiere at the La Jolla Playhouse, in La Jolla, California this May. Following that, the musical will make pre-Broadway stops in New Orleans, Houston and Chicago. The stage production features the music and lifestyle of Buffett, from an original story and includes both new songs and the most beloved Buffett classics. Among the catalogue of Buffett classics, “Margaritaville” is the most famous one of all and was inducted into the 2016 Grammy Hall of Fame for its cultural and historical significance. Among the 30+ albums Buffett has released, eight are gold albums and nine are platinum or multi-platinum.
This year also marks another milestone the 40th anniversary of the 1977 album, “Changes In Latitudes, Changes In Attitudes,” which featured the debut of “Margaritaville.” Other iconic songs from that record are frequently performed on tour as requested by fans, such as the title track, “Changes In Latitudes, Changes In Attitudes,” “Lovely Cruise,” and “Banana Republics.”

Is there anything going on pre-show in Orlando? I am still fairly new to the area and have only been to Amway Center once before (for a low attended Solar Bears Game). Seen Buffett many times in NY and the area around the concert was a day-long party. What, if anything, can I expect in Orlando tomorrow?
