Family Friendly community event to promote the appreciation of Art and Culture
Windermere 8th Annual Fine Art Show for the presented on March 11 &12, 2023 in the Town Square of Windermere, Florida, 520 Main Street, Windermere, FL 34786. This year over 85 artists from Florida and around the United States will showcase their work. The Windermere Fine Art Show’s mission is to bring together fine artists and community for their mutual benefit, in a high quality and fun event.
“Windermere Arts fosters an environment to promote the fine arts and performing arts, bringing diverse artists and the public together to experience creativity, inspiration and enjoyment. Windermere Arts promotes collaboration with organizations, schools and the community to encourage the creation, appreciation and understanding of the arts, and harness the economic vitality of the arts,” says Anne Scharer, Organizer at Windermere Arts.
In addition to showcasing the work of the artists, the Fine Art Show will also include:
· Live performance art
· Food vendors
· Sidewalk Chalk competition
The first event, Windermere Art Affair, made its debut in 2016. Its success led to the increase of the event to two days in 2017. The 2018 event proved the popularity and consistent growth of the participating artists and public attendance. This event has expanded to the Main Street sidewalks and includes high schoolers sidewalk chalk competition. The name has also changed to Windermere Fine Arts Show. to clarify the specificity of the exhibits. Proceeds from the event have benefited the Town of Windermere, as well as area schools, young adults and organizations, such as the Windermere Elementary School’s Art Department, Olympia High School’s Art Department, Gotha Middle School, City Arts Factory, The Russell Home and New Hope for Kids.
