Registration is now open for Bike/Walk Central Florida’s seventh annual Bike 5 event taking place on Saturday, October 14.
Event Details
Presented by The Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) Mobility Week, this year's ride will once again offer three options for bike riders of all ages, including its traditional Bike 5 Cities, as well as Bike 5 Parks and Bike 5 Miles.
All Bike 5 rides are tailored to anyone wanting to discover low-stress trails, paths and neighborhood roads around Central Florida. This year’s ride opportunities include:
· Bike 5 Cities: A 30-mile, 5-city ride taking cyclists through Winter Park, Eatonville, Maitland, Casselberry and Orlando. There will be beginner, intermediate and advanced level rides, with the option of having a knowledgeable and experienced cyclist guiding the way. Riders can also choose a self-guided option.
· Bike 5 Parks: An 11-mile guided leisure ride, starting at Ward Park, passing through Lake Baldwin Park, Harbor Park, Cady Way Trail Park, Lake Druid Park and ending back at Ward Park.
· Bike 5 Miles: A 5-mile guided group ride starting at Cady Way Pool, cruising down Cady Way Trail, around Lake Baldwin, and back. This route is family-friendly and perfect for children to join.
