Job Description

TITLE: LINE COOK

LOCATION: WINTER PARK, FL

PAY RANGE: TBD

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Working on the kitchen line in a professional environment preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to restaurant specs, and executing restaurant standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that level of quality, portion control, and plate presentation is adhered to consistently
  • Setting up and stocking stations with necessary supplies
  • Chop and prepare vegetables, butcher meat and prepare sauces
  • Answer, report and follow your executives instructions
  • Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Acute attention to detail in a fast paced environment
  • Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Punctual and good time management

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE (required):

  • 2-3 years cooking experience as a line cook, restaurant cook or prep cook
  • Knowledge of Japanese/Asian ingredients and products in a plus, although not required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Cooking: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
