Orlando is not necessarily known as a mecca for country music, but there are several country bars throughout town that are very popular. Almost every area of the city has at least one particular hangout great for busting out a two-step.
Some of these locations, in fact, have a very vibrant line dancing scene, while others are more casually country. Here is our list of the best country bars in Orlando.
Stagger Inn has an original location downtown, but their larger bar on University Boulevard gives the college crowd somewhere to kick their boots up. Since they cater to an eclectic crowd of students, they play a variety of music, but country music is always top on the playlist.
With free cover, $1 drinks from 3-4 p.m. and $2 drinks from 4-5 p.m., Friday happy hour is particularly popular. They also have great nightly specials during the week like on Thursdays with $2 drinks, drafts, and shots. Saddle Up All American Bar
Saddle Up is not just downtown Orlando's premiere country bar, it's also one of the most popular drinking establishments in the city. While they mix in top 40 and throwback hits, there are plenty of country tunes to go around and a line dancing party regularly erupts in the main bar late in the evening.
Saddle Up has dart boards and pool tables available and their expansive patio is a prime people-watching destination. They offer great specials throughout the week like $3 Bud Light drafts, $4 wells and $5 Tito's on Wednesdays and $2 Bud Light drafts, $3 domestic bottles and $4 wells on Thursdays.
Cowboys is a true Orlando institution, with some version of the bar has operated in the same space on Orange Blossom Trail for over 50 years. They claim to have Orlando's largest dance floor and line dancing is certainly a main part of the culture here.
Cowboys also often has great country shows with some of the music industry's rising stars. On Saturday nights, they offer one of the best drink specials in town, with free longnecks from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. and 2-4-1 "Bomb" specials beginning at midnight.
The Barn in Sanford may be the most authentic country bar Central Florida has to offer. On Wednesdays from 7-10 and Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 7-9, they offer $8 line dancing lessons that include one free drink.
The night truly turns up after that, with 16,000 square feet of space and ample dance floor room to try out what you practiced. The Barn regularly welcomes live music performers and truly tops off the experience with a mechanical bull upstairs.
International Drive's entry into the country game is the live music hangout, Tin Roof. They do not always have country acts take the stage, but when they do, the atmosphere truly gets turned up a notch.
Tin Roof has a delicious menu and a cool, casual setting that will make you want to hang out for awhile. They offer unbelievable deals like their $5 craft beer drafts on Thursdays and $3 16 oz PBR cans on Fridays.
