Downtown Orlando is preparing welcome a diverse assortment of new restaurants, clubs, and bars on Church Street opening in 2013.
Team Market Group LLC, the brains behind Downtown Orlando's Tier nightclub which opened earlier this year, are gearing up to open The District on Orange Avenue and Washington Street, a multi-venue entertainment facility which will include Black Umbrella, Brick & Brass Lounge, and Saddle Up Old American Bar.
They're not stopping there, though. Back in November, Team Market Group acquired the Downtown building which housed 23, Oakroom, Backroom, and Mako's, which will now play host to Native, a bar concept which will highlight Orlando's history, according to the Orlando Business Journal. The group doesn't plan to change much with the other three businesses, though.
Next door to the former Mako's, the Antigua Bar is also getting a makeover. According to the Business Journal, the owners of Frank & Steins and Harry Buffalo, two Church Street bars, are planning to open a restaurant at the location.
