Five-time Grammy nominee, Khalid (Khalid Donnel Robinson) announced his first arena-headlining tour, Free Spirit World Tour. Touring in support of his latest album, “Free Spirit,” the 32-city tour kicks off on June 20 in Phoenix, AZ and includes his first-ever performance at Orlando’s Amway Center on Friday, August 16. Tickets on sale now!
Khalid recently released, “Talk,” the lead single from his second studio album, “Free Spirit.” Shortly thereafter, “My Bad” was released as a promotional single with an album pre-order. His album, “Free Spirit,” will release April 5 and accompanying the album, is the album-inspired short film, “Free Spirit,” which premieres in theaters worldwide on April 3.
Khalid began writing and creating music in high school and posted his early works to SoundCloud. In July 2016, his debut single, “Location,” was released and peaked at number 16 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart and was later certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In March 2017, he released his critically-acclaimed debut studio album, “American Teen,” and received Grammy nominations for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best R&B Song ("Location"). In 2018, he released, “Love Lies,” a duet with singer Normani recorded for the film soundtrack, “Love, Simon” and it reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. "Love Lies" was each artist's first number one song on Billboard's Pop Songs chart, and finished in the top 20 on Billboard's 2018 Hot 100 Year-End chart.
