Disney World has some amazing theme parks, but if you're not in the mood for rides there are plenty of things to do near Disney World. Downtown Disney is home to some amazing stores featuring all things Disney, as well as world-class entertainment from Cirque du Soleil. Marvel at giant Lego sculptures in Downtown Disney, or indulge in a chocolate sundae at Ghirardelli. Just a short drive away from Disney World you can find even more attractions in Orlando and things to do. International Drive offers outlet shopping and a variety of restaurants. International Drive is also known for its inexpensive lodging options. Many people opt to stay at one of the hotels on this famous street as it allows them easy access to many of the attractions in Orlando.
Mickey Mouse and his friends may have a lot to offer, but there are a large variety of things to do near Disney World as well. Next time you are planning a trip to Disney World, don't be afraid to stray off the beaten path a bit and discover what else this great city has to offer.
